The Selection Process

After all submissions have been finalized, the APDC*IDA jury will begin the process of selecting the APDC*IDA OFFICIAL SELECTION. This first round selects the qualified entries and prepares them for jury voting.

The Jury’s evaluation and vote is based on a range of criteria that are constantly adapted to current design standards. The identity of the designer is hidden from the jury to ensure an unbiased vote. There is also no reference to how many entries a given designer has entered.

The entry categories are assigned to the jury members based on their expertise. This ensures that each category is viewed by the jury members best qualified to judge those entries.

All entries are listed randomly for the Jury to ensure that each entry receives equal opportunity.

All winning entrants will receive the APDC*IDA Winner’s logo and are entitled to use it for commercial purposes to promote their winnings. Receiving an APDC*IDA award is not only a significant achievement in design, but also ensures that the award winners will receive promotional material to publicize their achievements.
